Job Description

The Web Application Developer position supports the development/maintenance of new and existing Web Applications. Candidate should possess skills necessary to provide full life-cycle development of dynamic web-based applications. The candidate will be responsible for prototyping, development, and quality assurance testing of all applications. This role requires working directly with other development teams, both internal and external to Verizon TeleProducts.

Required Skills

• Obtaining and documenting application requirements.
• Client and server side web development techniques.
• Familiar with OOP theory and practice.
• Cold Fusion (MX) or J2EE (JSP).
• MS.net (ASP.net).
• MS T-SQL.
• Stored procedure development.
• Relational database theory.
• Database Design and optimization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to quickly learn and use new and different technologies.

Desired Skills

• Flash Rich Internet Application Development.
• Actionscript and/or Javascript.
• Macromedia Studio MX 2004.
• Model-Glue/Mach-ii CF Frameworks.
• Photoshop 7.
• Microsoft Office and MS Visio.
• Crystal Reports.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field), Webmaster Certificate, CF Certification, MCSD, MCAD, Sun JAVA Certification, and/or a minimum of 1 - 5 years experience in Cold Fusion / MS.Net / MSSQL / J2EE enterprise application development.
