Entries for month: July 2002

Jul 18, 2002 Meeting

July 2002 PACFUG Meeting:

This month we'll be doing the presentation that we've all been waiting to see…a coder's approach to Flash. PACFUG has invited one of the most energetic Flash trainers in the area to come and walk us through building a Flash form, populating it with data, sending that data to a remote server, and displaying a result. The presentation will touch on "Flash Remoting", which is one of the preeminent features in the MX product line.

Bring your laptop and preload it with eval copes of Flash and CFMX. This is a HANDS ON meeting! If you don't have a laptop, come anyway and learn how you would go about using Flash in your everyday apps.

We're scheduled to meet in PSGV Room 131; it's half the size, but twice the fun!

Bring a laptop, power cord, and if you have one, a power strip. A presentation like this will be a strain on battery longevity! You will learn a lot even if you do not have a laptop, but this meeting will be geared towards those who can walk through the examples.
